The Animation Museum and Toy Robot Museum share a combined ticket. That does not mean you need to spend equal time in both buildings. Start with pictures and stories or machines and movement, depending on your child's interests; decide on the second stop based on the energy left.

Key point

Check what the combined ticket covers and when an online ticket becomes valid, then give the first museum enough time.

What to remember

  • Individual combined tickets cost KRW 7,000; children under 24 months enter free with documentation.
  • Hours are 10:00 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:00.
  • Same-day online purchases close at 15:00; tickets are usable one hour after purchase.

Combined ticket prices and opening days

An individual ticket covering the Animation Museum and Toy Robot Museum costs KRW 7,000, with the same rate across paying age groups. Children under 24 months enter free with documentation. Chuncheon residents pay KRW 5,000 and buy onsite. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:00. Closures are Mondays, January 1, and Seollal and Chuseok day; when Monday is a public holiday, the closure moves to the following day.

An online ticket is not usable immediately after purchase

Official guidance allows same-day online purchases until 15:00, with tickets valid one hour after purchase. The museum estimates 1.5 to 2 hours for a combined visit and recommends entry before 16:00. That is the facility's estimate, not a guarantee that your child will finish within that time.

There is still a bus journey after Chuncheon Station

The address is 854 Baksa-ro, Seo-myeon, Chuncheon. Official directions list bus Seomyeon 3 from Jungang Market Transfer Center, via Chuncheon Nonghyup, to Animation Museum Entrance. The Chuncheon Nonghyup stop is listed as about a 10-minute walk from Chuncheon Station. Current bus intervals remain unconfirmed. Allow for the walk to the stop and the bus wait rather than scheduling museum entry immediately after your train arrives.

Give one building enough time on a morning visit

Spend the morning in the first museum, rest in a designated area, then decide whether to add the second. Start at the Toy Robot Museum for moving robots, or the Animation Museum for pictures and films. If your child spends a long time at the first stop, avoid describing a shorter second visit as wasting the ticket.

Know the food rules and expect exhibits to change

The museum restricts eating to designated areas and says that hands-on activities and exhibits change regularly. A particular device pictured in an old review is not guaranteed to be there now.

A lakeside walk does not have to be part of the day

Time after the two buildings can go toward a meal or waiting for the bus home. Stroller rentals, nursing room locations, and height limits for individual activities remain unconfirmed. If any of these are essential, ask the museum at 033-245-6470 before buying tickets; postpone the purchase if you cannot get an answer. Catching your return transport is more practical than insisting on finishing both places because you have a combined ticket.

Worksheet

Choose which of the two museums to visit first

Spend enough time in one place. Add the second only if your child has energy left.

Pictures and stories
An interest that makes the Animation Museum the first choice
Machines and controls
An interest that makes the Toy Robot Museum the first choice
After the visit
If your child is tired, skip the lakeside walk and head to transportation

Notes

  • Unconfirmed: current Seomyeon 3 bus intervals, nursing rooms and stroller rentals at each building, and physical requirements for activities. Check individually when these affect reservations or ticket purchases.
